La historia habla de como un niño llamado Rey es poseído por el espíritu de la venganza luego de ver a su madre ser brutalmente golpeada hasta morir. Solo y completamente entregado al espiritu que lleva dentro y a sus impulsos, Rey es adoptado por el padre Felipe, un sacerdote que lo toma bajo su tutela y lo introduce a una orden secreta de exorcistas, llamada los Siete Custodios. Convencido de que Rey exhibe una resistencia natural hacia los demonios, así como una inclinación al oficio de exorcista, los Siete Custodios intentan liberarlo de su posesión, pero no es un demonio cualquiera el que lleva dentro. Así, sin saberlo fallan dejando una pequeña parte de la escencia del espíritu dentro del niño. Pasan los años y Rey se convierte en un poderoso exorcista, enviando a cientos de demonios devuelta a sus respectivas casas infernales, pero aún el espíritu dentro de Rey vive, volviéndose más fuerte con cada demonio que Rey destruye, amenazando con consumirlo a él y al mundo que lo rodea en el fuego de su ira.

Titled "La Venganza Del Exorcista" in Spanish and "Becoming Vengeance" in English, the series tells the story of a how a young boy named Rey becomes possessed by a demon of vengeance when his mother is brutally beaten to death before him. Alone and rapidly losing himself to the spirit within, Rey is adopted by a priest named Felipe who takes him under his wing and introduces him to a secret society of exorcists named The Seven Watchmen. Believing Rey to have a resistance to demonic powers and a natural inclination towards being an exorcist, the Seven Watchmen attempt to subdue the demon but fail, unknowingly leaving behind a small portion of its essence within the boy. Years pass and Rey becomes a powerful exorcist, banishing hundreds of demons back to their respective houses of hell. However, the demon within lives on, and for every soul Rey takes, the spirit within grows more and more powerful, threatening to consume both Rey and the world in the fires of its hate.
